The first ever Theatre Olympics in India is currently underway in 16 cities in the country under the stewardship of our own Dr. Waman Kendre, Director of the prestigious National school of Drama (NSD). A number of Marathi plays are part of the over 500 plays  being staged all over the country including in 'Aamchidilli.'

MounRaag at teh prestigious LTG auditorium was one of the first plays to be staged and no wonder the theatre was paked to capacity.

Marathi population in Delhi, usually starved of quality programmes made in big way to the . Little Theatre Group.. theatre next to Kamani. Written by Mahesh Elkunchwar, Directed by Chandrakant Kulkarni and starring Sachin Khedekar and the Director himself.. the play Moun Raag (Avishkar, Mumbai) sees the best of both the actor and the Director.
"I would have loved to see international audience... but I am fine.." Sachin told Aamchidilli when asked if being staged as part of Theatre Olympics posed any challenge.

Besides Mounvrat, other plays that were staged at various auditoria in the capital were Sangit Devbabhali (Ashvamegh Theatres and Spandan, Nasik), Hey Bandh Reshmaache (Bharat Natya Samshodhan Mandal, Pune) and many more.
